The coin is an obverse brockage, formed when a previously struck coin becomes stuck in the reverse die so that the obverse of that coin becomes the reverse die of the new coin, making its reverse a reversed incuse image of the obverse design. Obv: helmeted head left, helmet decorated with three annulets and with a fleur de lis on top, four pellets arranged as a cross behind head. Rev: reversed, incuse strike of the obverse design.
